It had 20 cannons, a crew of 141, and a cargo capacity of 900 tonnes. Under the command of Alain Dordelin, the Duc de Duras travelled from Lorient to Canton and back, making stops in Cádiz, the Mascarene Islands and the Cape of Good Hope along the way.
