Curtis Lecture Halls
The Curtis Lecture Halls are an example of a Brutalist low-rise. Constructed in 1971, the structures are from three to four stories high and contain a number of lecture halls. The few windows included in the building's design suggest its function as a space to attend lectures. The building takes its name from Air Vice-Marshal Wilfrid A. Curtis, York's first Chancellor (1959-68).
