Learning Scalar: How to build non-linear, born-digital content on York's Scalar platform

Teaching Resources

Since Scalar publications are public and can be openly-licensed, the platform can be used to create Open Educational Resources. These publications can be created by individuals, collaborators, or students working together as peers.

Since Scalar does not prescribe a linear path through material, you can arrange it in ways that support curiosity-driven exploration. For example, you can "cluster" content according to learning outcomes, or link elements together by theme or topic.
