About the Project
Funded by the Academic Innovation Fund (AIF) and the Digital Humanities and Social Sciences for Teaching and Learning, the collective collaborated to develop a guide for instructors that would build capacity among faculty and librarians in the digital humanities and social sciences to support teaching and learning. Specifically, the guide will address various ways to incorporate digital content into courses, curriculum development, best practices for digitization and digital content curation, as well as intellectual property assessment.
In order to do so, each ORU selected one collection to digitize and feature. The Research Assistants, created DHSS projects that would from the basis of learning how to replicate and do digital work in undergraduate classrooms. Each research assistant was required to build a digital archive, create an exhibit and develop document analysis assignments intended for completion by undergraduate students.
