Spatial choices
Another type of decisions involved in the making of David Wurfel digital archive was related to the geographical locations to be included and represented in the archive. Since timeframe and themes were the main elements guiding my selection of photographic slides, location was not key. However, decisions were made regarding the variety of geographical spaces to be included with the attempt to show David Wurfel as a scholar interested in Asia in general, and in Southeast Asia in particular (specially on the Philippines). Spatial choices were also consciously made to provide a more complete picture of Wurfel's personal experience and academic trajectory in Asia.
