The Grim Side of Sailing

Over the two and a half years of its voyage, the Prince de Conti experienced numerous cases of illness and death among its passengers and crew. Of the 409 individuals who set foot on the ship, 33 died (8.07%) and 24 disembarked due to illness (5.87%). Altogether, almost 14% of the ship's crew and passengers did not arrive at their intended destination.
