The Voyage of the Lascars on the Prince de Conti

On 2 January 1755 a group of 25 South Asians lascars embarked on Prince de Conti at Chandannagar.

Along the way, five of them died and one deserted. Another was hired in Port Louis as a replacement.

The 21 remaining lascars disembarked at Port Louis, Île de France, on 26 October 1755.
