The military unit embarks
Seven of them remained at Lorient due to illness or other causes:

- Pierre Calibre dit Pierrot (n° 185)
- Henri Joseph Thomasson dit Thomasson (n° 191)
- Louis Vannier dit Sainte-Menehoult (n° 196)
- Barthélémy Souday (n° 215)
- Georges Seller (n° 252)
Three were hired last minute on 9 March:
- Claude Albrons dit Sanschagin (n° 261)
- Thomas Favelon dit Favelon (n° 262)
- François Gardon dit Léonard (n° 263)
The latter three, along with the 103 other soldiers, set off toward their destination of South Asia that same day, 9 March 1754. They are listed as passengers for Bengal, but they all disembarked at Puducherry.
