  1. As a collector of Torcan fans, I found this article very informative. I had never seen the print ads before. Thanks for such a well written article. Bonus: the "P" in 886P stands for "Packaway" because the cage of the fan folds down into the wire stand making it more compact for storage. Further, wire cages of early fans were designed to protect the blades of the fan from bumping into things while in operation...not fingers.
