Curating the Story Museum: A Resource for Educators

Niagara Children’s Museum

The Niagara Children’s Museum prides itself on using the K.I.D.S approach (Kreate, Investigate, Discover, and Solve.) Through this pedagogical approach, the museum offers a number of family-oriented activities centred around learning and fun. Their interactivity and hands-on exhibits are geared to children aged four and above. The museum’s mission includes fostering children’s natural curiosity and creativity alongside catered learning experiences.

Using pedagogical approaches in their exhibits that centre art and creativity (“the K.I.D.S. approach to understanding is Art Based Integrated Learning (ABIL) where art concepts and techniques are the vehicles used for a child to explore themselves and the surrounding world” from website)
