Curating the Story Museum: A Resource for Educators

Royal Ontario Museum

The Royal Ontario Museum is among North America’s top 10 cultural institutions and is one of Canada’s largest and most comprehensive museums. Since 1914, the museum has become a staple in downtown Toronto’s landscape and an even larger tourist attraction for adults and children. The museum offers a number of hands-on activities, notably with its CIBC Discovery Gallery. The gallery is divided into three themes: Earth, Around the World, and Close to Home. This dedicated kids zone gives children the opportunity to touch, draw, play, and learn about some of the themes and exhibits present throughout the rest of the museum. With 40 gallery and exhibition spaces, the ROM caters to both young and old visitors alike to bring histories, sciences, and artworks to life.
