Distributing via Service Providers
Blackberry phones were generally distributed through service providers, such as Telus, Verizon, AT&T and Sprint in the United States (Bell, Rogers, etc. in Canada). This is evident through logos of such service providers on certain Blackberry phones. Usually, Blackberry phones have the logo of the associated service provider through which the phone was sold towards the bottom of the front panel, under the keyboard. Placing high emphasis on these logos implies partnership between the phone manufacturer and service provider. Many newspaper ads also show the Telus logo alongside Blackberry products, thus showcasing this partnership. Blackberry products were also distributed through service provider stores, as seen through a newspaper ad which states “Available at most AT&T stores” .
