The Prince de Conti was at Chandannagar on 31 October; 8 November; 4, 23, 27, 31 December 1754; 1, 22 January; 1, 5, 14, 20, 23-24 February; 21 August 1755 [this last date is surely an error on rôle n° 286].

The ship spent almost four months in the vicinity of Chandannagar, where 13 people left the ship, and 49 people joined. Among those who disembarked were seven who were admitted to a hospital at Chandannagar, five of whom died.

The six who disembarked for unspecified reasons were:One additional death occurred while the ship was in the vicinity of Chandannagar. A 22-year-old caulker/sailor named Jean-Toussaint Chaudrelec (n° 53) drowned in the Ganges on the first day of 1755. It did not bode well for the second year of the voyage.

Among those who embarked on the Prince de Conti at Chandannagar was a group 25 South Asian lascars, several of whom died on the voyage. The rest worked on the ship until they disembarked at Port Louis before the ship returned to Europe.
