The Prince de Conti was at Chandannagar on 31 October; 8 November; 4, 23, 27, 31 December 1754; 1, 22 January; 1, 5, 14, 20, 23-24 February; 21 August 1755 [this last date is surely an error on rôle n° 286].
The ship spent almost four months in the vicinity of Chandannagar, where 13 people left the ship, and 49 people joined. Among those who disembarked were seven who were admitted to a hospital at Chandannagar, five of whom died.
The five who died where:
- An Irish Dominican monk, François Philippe (or Philippes) (n° 7)
- A sailor, François-Claude Houzé (n° 59) - died of a deposit in the chest
- A sailor, Yves-Joseph Le Gal (n° 77) - died of "flux de sang"
- A 17-year-old novice, Joseph-René Balluet (or Ballüet) (n° 105) - died of dysentery
- A supernumerary ensign, Philippe Dujardin (n° 272)
The two who stayed ill in hospital were:
- A cooper, Jean-Mathurin Gaubert (n° 61)
- A sailor, Jean-Michel Quervella (or Kervalla)
The six who disembarked for unspecified reasons were:
- Two surgeons, Hervé-Jean Dubois (n° 30) and Roussel (n° 269)
- One cook/domestic servant, Jean-Jacques La Noë (n° 116)
- One 12-year-old stowaway, Jean Nougay (n° 268)
- Two aristocratic passengers, De La Villebague Ribretierre (n° 270) and "Le Comte" (n° 271)
Among those who embarked on the Prince de Conti at Chandannagar was a group 25 South Asian lascars, several of whom died on the voyage. The rest worked on the ship until they disembarked at Port Louis before the ship returned to Europe.
